Mini squared off against two big guys this Sunday night. Brendan, a strong 16 pounder (or thereabouts) and Desmond, an Oakland tough guy coming in at just under 15! As you can see, she managed to sweet talk them down wearing her peace-vest (formerly her dads, who never was a fighter), though some tough blows were had by the boys!
She's growing! And now she's trying to open the bottle! And on top of that, she seems to have found some new range in her burgeoning vocal chords...sounds like injured cats. We hope this one passes soon.
Mini went to the Tour of California Prologue in Palo Alto today. She had fun watching the world's fastest cyclists ride fast...some of them doped up, some not. Here is Mini taking a rest from spectating, the stage winner Fabian Cancellara of Italy, Big George Hincapie, and then Mama and Mini trying to attacking a visibly worried Big George after the race.
Mini can actually entertain herself for a while now. Here she is enjoying her little play thing where she gets to look at things and lay below them and smack at them.
18 weeks and still going strong! Mini is now 2 foot 2.5 inches and in the 98th percentile in lengthiness. And a whopping 14 lbs 4 oz....that's more than a pound in the past month and around the 60th percentile. Her head remains mini-ish in the 50th percentile. She is sleeping in her own room now too, which is nice since she has been waking up and conversing with herself before settling back to sleep. Cute, for about 5 minutes.
Mini does some serious stretching each morning. Sometimes she has milk all over her face from a night time snack, and then she usually gives us the old crooked Dick smile.
New ritual in the bigStefano house. Mini gets nekkid each and every morning for some serious tummy time action. She's getting better at it, has turned over twice (though she can't remember it), and is getting those cool weight lifter neck muscles that we all ogle over. Oh yeah, check out that butt! Not much longer that we can (legally) show that to you.
Super Tuesday Mama and Mini hit the streets to stump for Obama! It worked - our county voted for him, as did SF and Marin. Too bad our folks down south did not feel the same...but we'll show you!!
Mini is 17 weeks old on Super Tuesday! Just 2 days from 4 months old! Getting ever longer every day...stay tuned for the next official weigh-in/measure-in next week!
