Mini and the Volcano

Mini went to Lassen Volcanic National Park last weekend and had a great time. She climbed Cinder Cone, a volcano that blew its top in the 1600s, hiked across a snow field to an area of bubbling mud and sulpher springs, and was protected in a bear box. You can check out more pics of the trip here.

Mini and a Bottle of Wine - 34 Weeks!

Mini spends a lot of time in her chair eating now...she likes the feeling of food squishing through her fingers and the look of her dad with food in his hair. She also continues to like this wine bottle, in any and all positions...34 weeks...go Mini!

Also, just as an update, Mini started a new nanny-share last week and so far it's great. Families are really nice and the nanny is very good. Her name is Gloria and she is able to get Mini to sleep for more than an hour in her crib regularly! Either she has some Peruvian magic potion or Mini has us dumb padres all figured out.

Chillin'

These unauthorized guerrilla pics care of Krazy Bird and Jamie, who were nice enough to mini-sit so mom and dad could go on a longer bike ride together....though it seems that they may have put Mini in the frig...I think that's ok...

Standin'

Mini's big thing this weekend was pulling up to the standing position. She's all about being up now...pull up on this, then that, then that, then fall. So no crawling yet, but a little moving backwards on her stomach and now standing tall.

33 weeks and modeling a new shirt from Japan care of P-Squared. Very cute, and look how tall she is compared to the bottle!

By the way, Mini has no idea why the text formatting on her blog suddenly got all whacky...google, you know?

Strawberry Wet Music Fest

We went on our first family "camping trip" this past weekend with Krazybird and Jamie. Off to Strawberry Music Festival up near Yosemite, where a week ago it was 90 degrees and sunny and then it wasn't....cold, rainy, hail, and even snow on the Tioga Pass! It was still a lot of fun, but it was, well, cold and rainy. But we had the camper van, which kept us warm while Kristen and Jamie slept in their tent, uh, outside. Here are some shots of us in the van, where we mostly were.
